Welcome to The Little Billet where every weary wanderer finds their second wind.

At the end of a long trail — when the bikes are muddy, the boots are heavy, and the banter’s still flying — there’s a new place to hang your helmet and heart.

The Little Billet, with three rooms, known as Saddle Sore, Blister Overload and Sole Survivor the latest additions to Forces Manor’s accommodation.

All three rooms are warm, no-nonsense self service uni-sex dormitories that sleeps up to 11 guests designed with military units, cycling groups, and outdoor enthusiasts in mind.

It’s the kind of place where kit dries by the door, stories grow taller by the hour, and every snore is a badge of honour. The kettle’s always on, the camaraderie comes as standard, and the beds are comfier than any bivvy bag you’ve ever known.

Whether you’re pedalling over peaks, yomping through the moors, or running on pure morale, Staying in The Little Billet is your chance to refuel, reset, and regroup before tomorrow’s adventure.

The Sole Survivor sleeps three guests while Saddle Sore and Blister Overload both sleep 4 guests.

Each space as single beds with under storage, a wash basin, clothes hanging and boot racks. All three spaces are served with a toilet and shower and a kitchenette. Saddle Sore and Blister Overload are actually one room with a divider splitting the eight available beds. 

(Rates are plus vat at flats rate of 9.5%)

All rates are based on a single bed price of £25 in a shared room.

Private hire of all of The Little Billet (11 guests) £270 per night

Private hire of Sole Survivor (3 guests) £70 per night

Private hire of Saddle Sore and Blister Overload (8 guests) £190 per night 

Important notice 

The Little Billet can be booked by the bed, the room space or privately for a group. 

Please be aware that the accommodation is uni-sex, meaning mixed for all genders, but the shower and toilet are private.

Please note, in order to comply with recent UK law, as clarified by a Supreme Court ruling in April 2025. Guests can specify single sex spaces only, but note single sex rooms in the Bothy must be booked as a whole dorm and not by the bed. Bothy room 20 can sleep 3 guest and is set aside as male or female only and not mixed. Dorm rooms 21 and 22 are set aside as mixed, but can be booked privately for single sex.

Single sex private rooms are available all the other rooms in the main building at Forces Manor.

The Little Billet is a self service accommodation, and NO bedding is provided, so feel free to bring your own, alternatively you can hire a duvet-Sleeping bag for £5. Being a self service accommodation we respectfully ask that you clean up after you and look after the facility.
